Welfare Benefits Advice
We provide a comprehensive welfare benefits, personal budgeting and debt advice service for Local Authorities and Social Housing Providers. Our budget and debt management advice is delivered to a high quality and we are working towards the Money Advice Service quality standard.
Our Money Advice and Support team has extensive experience with providing advice, guidance and assistance with financial situations. We will carry out Welfare Benefit checks with claimants to maximise their income and help to make applications for benefits and grants. We will help claimants with benefit disputes including help with appeals and representation at Tribunals.
We can support claimants who are affected by the Welfare Reforms (e.g. the introduction of Universal Credit) with adapting to the key changes including being paid a monthly, single household payment. We will assist claimants with managing their Universal Credit account online and with setting up an appropriate bank or credit union account for receiving monthly payments. We will meet with claimants to review income and outgoings and jointly draft a personal budget to identify opportunities to cut costs e.g. switching energy suppliers.
We can provide a personalised debt advice service for your claimants with the reassurance that quality standards are maintained. By working intelligently together to manage your claimants’ debt, this will ultimately help you to manage your organisations debt e.g. council tax arrears.
We are here to help ensure that your claimants receive quality budgeting advice and are supported to manage their money throughout the introduction of the Welfare Reforms, please feel free to discuss any budget and debt management requirements with us.
